Happy Fall Y’all! Welcome! I’m so excited to share a glimpse of how I’ve done Fall in my home this year. I’ve joined some amazing Instagrammers/Bloggers that are sharing their Fall homes with you over the course of this week. Yesterday ended with Rachel @cherrystreetblossoms, so if you missed it head to her blog linked HERE. I will include everyone on this little blog hop/tour at the end of this post. Seriously so much amazing Fall inspo in all types of homes and styles.
Fall touches in the bedroom
My bedroom is not something I have always changed with the seasons, but I sure love the feel of the holidays in the one place I spend most of my time. It’s also usually the last place I decorate, but this year I made it the first! I went bold this year with my “tumeric”/mustard sign from @ohsweetskye and the rest evolved from there. I love the pop of color against my white walls and dark furniture.
The prints on the wall I made with potatoes! I needed something to go in these frames that matched my Fall colors and I decided to try an art project from my kindergarten teacher days. See that saved highlight on my Instagram account called DIY WALL ART – page linked HERE.
Halloween Dining Room
As much as I love Fall and decorating for the occasion, Halloween never gets forgotten in our house. Before I get out all the Fall decor we do Halloween and my dining room is my favorite place to decorate for any holiday! I love all the details that I can put into a placesetting and styled table. I used some transfers from Chalk Couture @the_magnolia_mercantile (which you totally need to look into if you don’t know what they are) to make some fun tags that I used throughout this space. See the blog post HERE on how to use them and all the different ways I styled them.
I got these adorable personalized pumpkins from my sweet maker friend Renee @creativehavendesign. Check out her Etsy shop for updates on restocks. I loved the orange pop they brought to each plate! I love to layer for placesettings to give them some dimension. I used colors appropriate for Halloween and added some fun spiderweb placemats under each plate (from the Target $1 spot last year) and a fun spiderweb napkin (found at Homegoods). The cups are just mason jars with the tags I mentioned earlier. I tied the tags on with some orange ribbon and added a paper straw. So festive and fun for kids (& adults)! Even the dog gets a place setting since we have 5 people and 6 seats!
I tried to hold back with all the pumpkins I promise! I thought I was doing pretty good to contain them in these two little bowls. Here’s a little bird’s eye view to see it all together…

This dining room was really pulled together with this gorgeous Halloween sign from @ohsweetskye! You guys they make THE BEST signs! Check out their amazing collections HERE. I loved using some pops of orange but some years I’ve done all black and white too. I really love a big focal piece behind my table, no matter the occasion.
Let’s not forget about shelving! These shelves take me longer to style sometimes than the entire table! The key with shelf styling is to layer, spread out the color (not too much in one spot), and group different heights of things on a shelf together. I also love to drape some beads or a garland for some extra interest.
Sitting Room
This room that use to house toys for years is now my favorite adult space in our home. I love to curl up here, relax, and take a little breather away from my kids. Since this room is directly across from my dining room, I try and match the color scheme to mimic the other side. These two rooms are the first thing you see when you walk in our front door and I want them to be welcoming and happy! There is a reason why our playroom is now upstairs out of sight!
Tiered Tray
If you’ve been around here for awhile you know that my fav thing ever to style is a good ol’ tiered tray! Did you think I was going to end the tour without one? Tray styling is a lot like shelf styling – you want different heights, color evened out on all the tiers, and a good mix of textures.
Neutral Fall Decor
The Halloween colors are a bit much in every single room, so I do have spots where I like some simple neutral. When I transition to Fall/Thanksgiving decor it tends to be more calming (not so bright) colors. It’s ok to like both color and neutrals – so I do a little of each. I’m a little indecisive like that.
I hope you have enjoyed this little Fall tour of my home. Be sure to check out the next person on the Brilliant Colors of Fall Tour Adele @homechronicles. Her blog is linked HERE for ya!
