Want an easy way to spruce up things for any holiday? This is such a fun and easy way and the tags or any of their backgrounds you use are resuable. You just wipe off and you can put a new transfer on! What?!?!?!
Here are the products I used…
Halloween transfers
Black chips
Chalk Paste
Small Squeegee
Tool to punch holes in wood chips
The Process
These are so fun and easy to make! The transfer is like a sticker you stick on whatever surface you want to transfer it to. Get the little squeegee and dab in the chalk paste. Rub over transfer until fully coated (not too much, just a thin layer). Then just peel the transfer off and you’re done! These can be reused over and over again. The chalk paste also wipes off the surface easily if you mess up or want to use you background piece for something else. I made a YouTube video to just show ya! I like seeing things done versus reading about it….
Styling
I made these with the idea in mind that I would incorporate these into my Halloween place settings. I found so many other uses for them besides that and I can’t wait to get the Christmas transfers that just came out! These would make the cutest holiday gift tags. Here are a few ideas on how to style them…
I used these for the drinks on each place setting by tying a simple ribbon around each mason jar.
I also put some jars with tags on my tiered tray!
The pumpkin tags got added to some pumpkins I already had too.
Speaking of tags, they make great gift tags!
Last but not least, I needed to change out what was in these little frames to go with the Halloween theme, so I used the transfers on some card stock cut to size.
These were a fun little project that took 10 minutes! Chalk Couture makes so many amazing transfers and some are big enough to make your own signs! No more worrying about being an artist when you can use these to transfer images and words perfectly everytime! Be sure to check out my friends Tara @the_magnolia_mercantile on Instagram. She also does live videos on Facebook !
Hope that inspired you in some way! I’m getting so excited for Halloween now!
