Spring is my favorite time of year for creating tablescapes. Greenery and flowers are the best way to add some Spring vibes to a room or table, and I love to use a mix of real and faux. I’m going to walk you through the process of how I created a neutral Spring place setting and how the final table turned out.
First, I plan what I want to use and gather it together. Sometimes I use it all, add stuff, or even leave stuff out. Here is what I started with…

I always start a place setting with a charger and/or placemat. I almost always use two different sizes of plates – sometimes the same color, sometimes different colors/patterns. It’s all about layering to bring some dimension.

I love to find a unique way to personalize each place setting if I can. I had these personalized books that @bannervilleoaksfarm sent me and wanted to try them out as the place card. Adding another layer.

I tend to top off my place settings with something that has dimension. I prefer that look over a flat place setting. To give it a neutral Spring vibe I added some cotton stems. I wanted to tie in more black so I used these little chalkboards from the Target $1 spot and added everyone’s first initial to them. Double personalized!

I decided that looked kinda plain so I added a sprig of greenery to brighten the look up.
It’s that easy! Since the place settings were pretty busy and had a lot going on, I kept the table simple everywhere else. I used a simple table runner in the middle and added 3 small vases with a floral stem each. I used real hydrangeas on the buffet behind the table to tie in the greenery and white on the table. Added some cute neutral accents , a fun family sign, and waa-laa!
The weather outside may not be screaming spring, but the inside of my home is ready! I hope that helps you when planning a table for Spring. Be sure to check out the “Shop My Instagram” tab to find sources for this table and room.

This turned out so wonderful. Loving the little chalkboards, and using stamped books is pure genius.
I could not find a source for the chargers. Can you tell us where you got them?
*Smiles*
So sweet – thank you!The chargers are from Pier 1 and I don’t think they have them right now. 🙁
