My middle baby turned 10! All you mommas know the feelings you have as your baby gets another year older- always a little bittersweet. Sad they are growing up, but happy for who they are becoming. Plus, when you know you’re done having babies like me, it’s hard to know with each passing year you are getting further away from those memorable baby and toddler years. Who wants to have a little cry fest with me?
1 year old Jackson vs 10 year old Jackson…
Anywhoo, as my little big man celebrated turning double digits, we decided to try and make it special. He only wanted one thing so I had the idea to do a scavenger hunt to find his present. We did a scavenger hunt last year for his 9th birthday sleepover with his friends so I knew he would love it again. I didn’t want to create one from scratch so I turned where every mom planning a birthday turns to these days – Pinterest! Here’s last year’s party….
My Pinterest board with all the different scavenger hunt ideas is here…

I found three different scavenger hunt ideas and printed all of the clues from each. Then I used what I wanted and pitched the rest. I numbered them and made a master list in case I forgot where I hid them.
I hid the cards once he was in bed for the night. This took a minimal amount of time to do and the result was SO worth it! Just look at that happy face!
