Do you want a Pinterest worthy Valentine that is easy? I’m here to help! Spending a lot of time on making Valentines cards is not something I personally want to do, but I still want them to be different from the store bought ones. Not that there is anything wrong with store bought ones. I have done store bought too! Each year is different and so is each kid. I’m sharing some staples I’ve used over and over, as well as some new ideas incorporating the Target $1 spot.
Kid Valentines
Fish Bowl Valentine
First up is one of my all time favs that I’ve used for several kids. Originally, I bought these from a website personalized and then realized I could make them (much cheaper)! This little fish bowl idea is cute because it includes the use of school – works for any grade. It’s also one of the few valentines that includes food that isn’t candy (although swedish fish is an option too). Here are the two different ways you can use this FREE PRINTABLE…..
Sew Valentine
Ok, so maybe I visit the Target $1 spot a bit too much, but they have the cutest stuff for cheap and I don’t want to miss any of it! I came across the adorable heart lacing activities for $1 and thought they would make a cute non-food valentine. Perfect for practicing fine motor skills for the little ones too! I made this FREE PRINTABLE to pair with it. I have also seen similar lacing activities using shoelaces like THESE & THESE, which also come out to a little over $1 a piece. Cute and a learning toy at the same time!
Emoji Valentine
I created this valentine one year when my kids were obsessed with emojis. I think this was the year The Emoji Movie came out! I found these emoji things at Hobby Lobby, but Amazon also has some good options!
Candy Heart Valentine – last year of elementary
This valentine was made specifically for my first son’s last year in elementary school. Now he’s in middle school! A fun little way to reminisce and remember the good times and friends for V-Day.
Cereal Valentine
I got his idea from my fav place to order cards – Minted – and decided to make my own! What kids don’t love cereal? CEREALSLY! You could pair with the mini boxes of cereal or the mini bags!
Mask Valentine
The pandemic has been such a bummer but we always try yo make the best of it. In 2021 there was no food allowed for Valentine’s parties so this was the perfect non-food pandemic friendly valentine! And these indivivually wrapped tie dye masks for kids are my favorite!
Teacher Valentines
Teachers deserve love too for Valentine’s Day so I always put together a little something for them as well. I took an idea I’ve done for years for Teacher Appreciation Week and tweaked it a bit for Valentine’s Day.
Teacher Appreciation Gift
Teacher Valentine Gift
From this, I took the same idea and presented it in different ways. Containers are from the Target $1 spot. Choose the printable that best fits – I included both on 1 sheet!
