I just got back from a short fun filled trip to Waco with some fellow Instagram/Blogger friends and wanted to share all that we did in case you are trying to plan a trip too. We packed a lot into the 24 hour trip!
We stayed at the cutest Airbnb called @houseofmowry (on Instagram – https://www.instagram.com/houseofmowry/). It’s a 1930’s home that the cutest couple renovated. You can tell they put a lot of time into thinking about all the details. It was very well decorated and styled (which is coming from 6 home décor accounts/bloggers)! The details made us feel right at home – water & Dr. Pepper in the fridge, fresh donuts, fresh flowers, coffee, snacks, & even a Waco tour guide. There were 6 girls and we all fit very comfortably. The beds were soft and everything was clean. I would highly recommend this cute house over a hotel if you need a place to stay on your Waco trip.
Our first stop was the mothership, Magnolia. I’ve been many times, but am always in awe of the new displays they create. The Spring displays did not disappoint! I wanted to buy everything and ended up buying nothing. I just couldn’t narrow anything down! We also hit the Silos Baking Co. (Magnolia Bakery) and I think our shirts said it all!
Next we hit The Findery within walking distance of Magnolia. They have 2 shops, The Findery & The Findery Marketplace (about a block a part from each other). A must see if you visit! https://www.instagram.com/thefinderywaco/
Then we drove to the original Magnolia shop where they have warehouse/sale pricing on past season’s stuff that used to be at Magnolia. That address is 3801 Bosque Blvd and it’s kind of a hidden gem IMO. Those items are 50% off and up! Great deals and very affordable!
Another local shop that is beautiful and like a mini Magnolia is Linen & Cake (https://www.instagram.com/linenandcake/ ). Theresa puts so much into making her shop look amazing, not to mention she’s the sweetest. Oh and you have to smell their signature candle her husband makes – AMAZING! We took a private flower making class, taught by Theresa herself – the owner. You can contact her to book one too! This was such a fun activity to do with our little group of creatives. We could have stayed there all night crafting! The flowers were just adorable too. I plan on using mine on a tiered tray soon!
We loved trying some new restaurants and our friend Amy @cutertudor was the perfect guide since she lives in Waco. The first day we ate lunch at Hecho en Waco (Mexican) and dinner at Moroso (Italian) – equally delicious! The next morning we got up early (even though we didn’t have kids) and headed to Magnolia Table around 7:00 am. We had no wait! It can have crazy waits during busy times and we wanted to avoid that at all costs – and we did! Before we parted ways we stopped by Spice Village. It’s a huge shop that is a collection of booths from different vendors.
Sometimes we need to treat ourselves to a girl’s trip and I’m so glad I did. These ladies have been my Instagram friends but I had never met any of them in real life. I’m so glad I pushed myself out of my comfort zone because it was so worth it! I now have 5 ladies that I can call friends in real life. Check out each of their beautiful accounts – I am sure you will love them too!
